Hello! I'll take a shot at this:

Basically, these four students are disputing the square root of .89

You are to find our which are correct, and which are not. 

First thing you should do is find out for yourself what the square root really is. You can do this by hand or by calculator for this it's really simple either way. 

But if you choose to do it by a calculator, just enter it into a TI-84 or any other calculator that deals with square root calculations. 

The square root of .89 is: 0.9433981132

Now that we know this, let's examine the student's and their answers.

Anayah thinks it's between .44 and .45
Matthew believes it is anywhere between 0 and 1
Rhoda believes it is between .9 and 1.0
Ming believes it is between .93 and .95

Well, we already know that roughly, it's .94 

.94 falls on the number line after 0, and JUST before 1
This means Matthew is correct. 

It is also between .9 and 1.0, as it's .94
This means Rhoda is also correct

Even more specifically, it's between .93 and .95
This means Ming is ALSO correct.
